Event Description
Criteria: 
  • Awarded to a first year freshman enrolled full-time in a four year degree program at West Virginia  University. Scholarship is awarded for a maximum of 8 undergraduate semesters or graduation, whichever comes first. Recipient must successfully complete 24 credit hours each academic year.
  • Recipient must be an actively participating member of a West Virginia 4-H club. First consideration will be given to students from Hancock Co., West Virginia; if no recipients available from Hancock County, the scholarship is open to any 4-H member in the state.
  • Recipient must demonstrate financial need and high academic promise, including scoring either a minimum of 30 on the ACT or a minimum combined math/verbal score of 1340 out of 1600 on the SAT.
  • Recipients selected by the Development Office of WVU Extension Service.
