Event Description Daniel J. Bain, assistant professor of geology and planetary science at the University of Pittsburgh, will speak on "Legacy Effects: Keys to Understanding Past Landscapes and Future Landscape" at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, in room 101 B of the National Research Center for Coal and Energy. Bain's research interests center on catchment hydrology, trace metal biogeochemistry, urban and riparian systems, and fluvial geomorphology. He received his PhD in geography and environmental engineering from Johns Hopkins University in 2004. The seminar, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by WVU's Environmental Research Center. |
