Event Description An estimated 5.4 million people in the United States are living with Alzheimer's disease, and that figure is growing at an alarming rate. Researchers and health providers predict that by 2050, a person will be diagnosed with the disease every 33 seconds. Professor Justin Legleiter of the C. Eugene Bennett Department of Chemistry at WVU will share how his research decodes neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer's that rob people of their memories, perceptions and cognitive skills.
Legleiter’s talk, part of the Eberly Ideas Discussion Series, is on Tuesday, April 9 at 7 p.m., at the Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center, Room 2000, Charleston, W.Va. |
