Photographer/Educator to speak about public art exhibit

Event Description

Photographer Marybeth Meehan will be speaking about City of Champions: Installation, a selection of her photographs which have been transformed into public art in Brockton, Massachusetts.
The work invites viewers to consider the changing urban identities of a post-industrial American city within the context of its historic urban landscape.

Marybeth Meehan is a photographer and educator who creates meaningful, in-depth portraits of her own communities. Her work addresses issues of immigration, culture, and change, and the emotional charge surrounding them. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Boston Globe and has been exhibited both nationally and internationally.

This event is open to all students. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from a professional photographer!
