WVU Emergency Medicine, in collaboration with regional emergency medicine residency programs, is hosting the annual wilderness medicine conference put on for students. The conference provides hands-on scenarios and lectures about providing medical care in austere environments. Some of the practical skills covered include point of care ultrasound, dive medicine, splinting and suturing, and hypothermia/hyperthemia management. This is a multi-day event from May the 2nd to May 3rd.
