Academic Community Engagement (ACE) Development Session:

Service-Learning and STEM

The National Science Foundation recognizes service-learning as a "high impact practice," and numerous STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) faculty enhance their courses by incorporating community experiences through service-learning. In the realm of higher education, what does service learning entail? How does its implementation within STEM disciplines contribute positively to student success, encompassing academic achievement, career development, and civic engagement? These inquiries and more will be explored in our upcoming virtual session. Expect a rich exchange of examples, resources, and best practices.
