This workshop introduces faculty and instructors to practical tools and methods for building a virtual makerspace that complements classroom learning and physical labs. Who Should Attend? Instructors and staff who are interested in: Incorporating makerspace-style learning into their courses; Exploring low-cost, scalable digital tools to support hands-on learning; and Enhancing student collaboration and problem-solving through hybrid digital-physical approaches. • Hands-on exploration: participants will experiment with selected tools introduced in Session 1.
• Small-group activities to simulate workflows (CAD design, virtual machining, virtual and augmented reality welding, 3D printing and laser cutting simulation, etc.).
• Feedback session: participants share insights on the potential of virtual makerspaces to enhance teaching and student engagement.
