Exhibitions in the McGee Gallery bring ideas and objects together in new ways, highlighting the breadth and depth of the Art Museum’s permanent collection.

• The Thing Itself, an exploration of human perception through sculpture, ceramics, and other three-dimensional objects,

• Encounters: Blanche Lazzell’s Drawings, featuring rarely exhibited works from the 50-year career of West Virginia native and noted American modern artist Blanche Lazzell,

• and Face in the Mirror, a survey of self-portraiture in the Deem Print Gallery.

The McGee Gallery rotates every fall and spring with new thematic exhibitions drawn from the Art Museum’s holdings of more than 4,000 objects in diverse mediums.
