Summary: R is a programming language that is designed with statistics in mind. This makes it excellent for running data analyses. This workshop is intended for novices and will cover all of the basics of programming. This includes strings, data types, functions, loops, matrices, and vectors. By the end of the workshop students will be able to load data into matrices, make effective plots to communicate findings, and automatically process large datasets. Each person needs to have their own device with administrator privileges, and a recent version of R and Rstudio installed. All other libraries will be downloaded as needed. Students must bring a non-Chromebook laptop to these workshops.
