The West Virginia University Alumni Lone Star Chapter adopted a stretch of beach in Galveston, Texas surrounding Pocket Park #2 in 2021. Join fellow Mountaineers, family and friends for WVU Alumni Association's Day of Service on Saturday, April 20th to clean up a portion of the beach and give trash the boot! This is also the same beach where we've hosted our annual Beach Day during the summer.

Please sign-up to volunteer below to ensure we have enough gloves and trash bags for our volunteers.
This pocket park offers restrooms and paved parking, courtesy of the Tipsy Turtle.
The chapter will be providing snacks and water. You are welcome to bring your own beverages for a post clean-up gathering. Glass is not permitted on the beach.
