Mr. Anido graduated from West Virginia University School of Pharmacy in 1980. He began his business career working for The UpJohn Company and was responsible for selling well-known pharmaceuticals, such as Motrin and Xanax. He decided to expand his understanding of business by enrolling in the WVU College of Business and Economics and obtaining his MBA in 1985. He then went on to increasing executive roles and responsibilities in the commercialization of pharmaceuticals at companies such as Lederle Laboratories, Burroughs Wellcome, GlaxoWellcome, and MedImmune before becoming Chief Executive Officer of three publicly-traded companies on NASDAQ: Auxilium Pharmaceuticals, NuPathe, Inc. and Zynerba Pharmaceuticals.

 

Throughout his 37-year career, Mr. Anido has positively impacted the lives of many people suffering from difficult diseases and conditions, such as HIV/AIDS, Migraines, Epilepsy, Depression, Anxiety, Serious Hospital and community-acquired infections, arthritis, and addiction to smoking. His deep understanding of the development and commercialization of pharmaceuticals, combined with his leadership strength, has propelled him into a well-respected pharmaceutical executive among his peers.
