About this Event
The Faculty Justice Network will host Diego Navarro Meza, a Ph.D. student in the School of Education and Counseling during its Faculty Talks event on Wednesday, October 29 from 11 a.m. until noon via Zoom.
Meza’s presentation, From Research to Practice: Exploring Culturally Sustaining Pedagogies, will explore how he used strengths-based activities to honor and sustain the cultural identities of his students and make them feel valued in the classroom. The session will conclude with a Q&A.
Faculty Talks is a virtual speaker series that highlights the research and scholarship of faculty and graduate students. Each 60–75-minute session provides an opportunity for presenters to share their work and receive feedback.
