Join us for a discussion around Hip Hop, Black culture, and place with West Virginia natives Steven Dunn (novelist and Whiting Award winner) and Deep Jackson (Hip Hop artist and Marshall alum) and moderator Prof. Amy M. Alvarez (New York native, poet, Hip Hop head, and WV resident).  Dunn will read from his new book Travel with Nas and Jackson will perform.

 

This event is part of the Humanities Center's  Appalachian Writers, Artist, & Scholars of Color Series.
