Beth Correll will be delivering the annual Gochenour Memorial Lecture. Her topic is how to turn transferrable skills into a competitive advantage.
Beth Correll is currently the Founder and Career Coach of Step Function Coaching — an organization specializing in helping college students and early career professionals build confidence and succeed in their career journeys.
Prior to Step Function Coaching, Correll led the Finance Transformation Management Office at The Hershey Company until 2024. She joined Hershey as an industrial engineer in 1998. While in industrial engineering, she worked closely with the marketing teams and the manufacturing plants on financial analyses, continuous improvement projects and capital funding requests. For several years, she managed the IE Plant Support team, responsible for IE support at all US manufacturing facilities. Correll went on to spend nine years in Hershey’s Global Procurement team, with leadership roles in all three of the major categories of spend – Indirect, Commodities, and Packaging Materials. In these roles, she implemented sourcing policies and practices resulting in significant savings, risk management, and supply continuity. She then joined the US Finance team with roles spanning across gross margin improvement, commercial finance, and now the global finance transformation role.
Prior to joining Hershey, Correll worked as a Quality Engineer at Amp, Inc., an electronics connector manufacturer in Harrisburg, PA.
Correll holds a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering from West Virginia University, where she continues to play an advisory role through the Industrial Engineering Visiting Committee and Distinguished Alumni Academy.
