https://hsc.wvu.edu/faculty-development/Dr. Krstal Thompson, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, will present "The Voices I Hear When I'm Taking Care of Patients: Lessons Learned from WVU Faculty that Shaped My Career" for the Health Professions Education Grand Rounds session on Wednesday, Nov. 19, at Noon in HSC-North 1107 with simulcasting to regional campuses via Zoom. CE credit approved.
Dr. Thompson attended the WVU School of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree, and then completed an additional six years of training with a General Practice Residency at WVU, internship at WVU, and surgical residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at WVU.
During her Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training, Dr. Thompson earned an outstanding reputation throughout the WVU campus for her excellent work ethic, excellent performance and patient care. She was awarded an Excellence in Trauma Surgery Award and a Cornerstone of Recovery Award from the WVU Trauma Surgery Team and was an American Academy of Orofacial Pain Award Recipient. She also continues to return to WVU to Ruby Memorial Hospital to teach Advanced Trauma Life Support as an instructor.
