The festival is a very family-oriented event. We plan to have a variety of cultures represented through food, music, and dance and have invited some outside food vendors to join us. The WVU cultural and international student organizations will have booths set up displaying their home country’s culture and will have games to play and items for sale. Our entertainment lineup will include a Japanese Sword dancer, the WVU Brazilian Street Band, Chinese music, and dance, and SabraSon, a Latin Band. We are extremely excited this year to have two of our local schools taking part. The Westwood Middle School Panhandlers will be joining us for the first time. Another first-time participant will be the Brookhaven Elementary Appalachian Music Ensemble. These two groups of talented young musicians will be part of our entertainment. Other events throughout the day will include a small fashion show and hopefully a Cricket demonstration held on the Mountainlair Green by the WVU Cricket Club.
