This summer, the WVU Industrial Extension and Blenko Glass teamed up to bring the winning design of Averie Ellis, now an eighth-grade student at Park Middle School in Beckley, West Virginia, to life.

We hosted Averie and her family at Blenko, where they experienced the entire process of transforming her sketch into a handcrafted glass suncatcher, Take Me Home.

On Manufacturing Day, October 3, we’ll unveil Take Me Home, take you behind the scenes, and share how you can purchase this one-of-a-kind piece. It’s a celebration of creativity, collaboration, and the bright future of manufacturing in West Virginia.
