This is an informal mentoring session for students in the Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources. Students can choose to meet with alumnus in two different zoom sessions to ask questions pertinent to their professional development and learn tips on how to advance their career.  More information included below.

 

Oliver Wiegand was born and raised in Morgantown, WV and is a 2018 graduate of the Lane Department with degrees in Computer Science and Computer Engineering. At WVU, Oliver was a student manager for the Women’s Basketball team and was the president of the Amateur Radio Club during the 2017-2018 school year. After graduation, Oliver joined Amazon where he worked to build software to help secure AWS’s global datacenters. He now leads a series of engineering teams building systems that help Amazon collect money from its business customers. Oliver is passionate about aviation, in particular aviation photography, and travels to many airshows and aviation events around the country. If not taking photos, you can find Oliver enjoying the outdoors, such as backpacking, cycling, and competing in Pickleball leagues.
