To promote the advancement of dental sciences and education, the annual Mesaros Symposium, supported by the Laura and Paul Mesaros' Foundation, will be scheduled on Friday,  August 23, 2024.  It will take place at the WVU Alumni Center. This year, we are pleased to have Dr. Eber Stevao  as our main speaker for the morning. Dr. Stavao is our newest member in the Department of Oral Surgery and Hospital Dentistry.  He has extensive training and expertise in diagnosis and treatment of temporomandibular disorders.   His topic will be "Diagnostics in Temporomandibular Joint Examination, from Anatomy to Current Management Concepts".   The afternoon session is geared towards clinical calibration of teaching for the Dental Rural Health program preceptors. Dr. Valerie Perrine, the director of the program, will be the speaker. Her topic will be "Rural Readiness: Preceptor Precision in Clinical Calibration" .  Light breakfast and lunch will be provided for those who attend.

For those who are interested to attend,  please go to the WVU website http://ce.wvu.edu/mesaros for more information. The Program Flyer and Registration Forms according to WVUSOD affiliation will be available. Main clinic will be closed in the morning only.  Those who are involved in didactic or laboratory courses will have to consult with their Department supervisors.

For all SOD faculty, the attendance is FREE but registration is mandatory so we can account for the number of attendees in each session and also for arranging breakfast and lunch.  The deadline for registration will be August 12, 2024
