 erested in teaching the 10 and 30 hour maritime safety and health outreach
  program to their employees and other interested groups. Special emphasis 
 is placed on those topics that are required in the 10 and 30 hr programs a
 s well as on those that are the most hazardous\, using OSHA standards as a
  guide. Course participants are briefed on effective instructional approac
 hes and the effective use of visual aids and handouts. This course allows 
 the student to become a trainer in the Outreach Program and to conduct 10 
 and 30 hour maritime classes in Shipyard Employment\, Marine Terminals\, a
 nd Long shoring and to issue cards to participants after verifying course 
 completion.\n\n \n\n \n\nPrerequisites:\n\nOSHA 5410 course completed with
 in the last 7 years Five years maritime industry safety experienceA bachel
 or or higher college degree in occupational safety and health or industria
 l hygiene by an  accredited college or university\, a certified Marine Che
 mist (CMC)\, Certified Safety Professional (CSP)\, or Certified Industrial
  Hygienist (CIH) designation in the applicable training area may be substi
 tuted for two years of experience.A list of OSHA 5400 dates and locations 
 are listed below but prior approval is needed by filling out the verificat
 ion of prerequisites form (link below). After submitting the verification 
 of prerequisites form an email will be sent back within 5 business days wi
 th an approval or rejection notification. If approved at that time complet
 ion of the registration will be provided.\n\nRequired Documents\n\nCopy of
