The University community is invited to the Pearl Harbor Day ceremony at 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 7 to mark the 82nd anniversary of the attacks and to honor the lives lost.

The ceremony will be held at the USS West Virginia mast and bell in front of Oglebay Hall. Secretary of State Mac Warner will be the keynote speaker for the event and there will be a 21-gun salute with three volleys being fired.

Directly following the ceremony, attendees are welcome to join us on the 1st floor alumni lobby of the Wise Library. A life preserver recovered from the USS WV will be on display which was generously donated by the Kendrick's family. Hot chocolate will also be served.
