Phillip Elias Howard, a candidate for the P.h.D. in Educational Theory and Practice, in the College of Applied Human Sciences, will defend their dissertation, "Acts of Becoming: A Phenomenological Investigation into the Lived Experiences of West Virginia Teacher Activists, 1990 to the Present" on April 2nd, 2026, at 3:00 PM in 603 Allen Hall, with chairs Melissa Sherfinski and Sam Stack.
