Celebrate Earth Day with the WVU Department of Physics and Astronomy! This event will take place on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM on the Ground Floor of White Hall.

 

A wide variety of physics and astronomy demonstrations will be presented and explained to visitors. Several of the demos are interactive and include topics like spacetime and gravity, gravitational waves, angular momentum, electricity and magnetism, and many more. There will also be a station to make ice cream using liquid nitrogen!

 

This event is led by members of the WVU Physics and Astronomy Graduate Student Organization (PAGSO).

 

About Remake Learning Days

Remake Learning Days Across America (RLDAA) is a celebration of innovative experiences and opportunities for youth to develop their sense of creativity, perseverance and curiosity. Remake Learning Days is a festival of events hosted by a variety of organizations, such as schools, museums, libraries, after school organizations, early child care centers, parks, universities, media centers, tech startups and more.  These events are designed to be hands-on, relevant and engaging educational experiences for youth of all ages (pre-K through high school) and their families, caregivers and educators.  The majority of events are free and open to kids of all ages. RLDAA is presented by Remake Learning.

White Hall is located on the Downtown Campus of West Virginia University at 135 Willey Street.
