This musical theatre version is based on the classic 1997 animated motion picture with all the great music and drama of the original, plus more!
With music and lyrics by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens, and a book by Terrence McNally, the musical adapts the legend of the Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna of Russia, who was rumored to have escaped and survived the execution of the Russian Imperial family. Many years later, an amnesiac young woman named Anya hopes to find some trace of her past by siding with two con men, who wish to take advantage of her resemblance to Anastasia.
The PSC Theatre production is being directed by Mark Ashby with music direction by Jaiden Courrier and choreography by Natalie Bennett and Billy Price. All performances will take place in the Church-McKee Arts Center. The running time for the show is approximately 2.5 hours.
