The Potomac State College-Community Concert Band, directed by Dr. Brian Plitnik, will perform a concert on Tuesday, November 19, at 7:30 p.m., in the Church-McKee Arts Center auditorium. The PSC-Community Concert Band consists of talented high school students, college students, and members of the surrounding communities who share a love of music.

The repertoire for this concert will include:

  • Fanfare and Flourishes by James Curnow
  • Sedona by Steven Reineke
  • Groove Music by Brian Balmages
  • Chorale and Presto by Richard Saucedo
  • Crush by Robert W. Smith
  • Deir’ In De arranged by Warren Barker
  • Dixieland Revue arranged by Eric Osterling

The concert has exciting musical selections for every taste! From Deir’ In De, a lovely wind ensemble setting of the traditional Irish lullaby, to Dixieland Revue, which will feature a select Dixieland ensemble accompanied by the rest of the band.

The concert will be free and open to the public. Providing cultural experiences for the community helps to fulfill the broader WVU Potomac State College mission statement to "Enhance the well-being and quality of life for the campus community, people in West Virginia, and the broader service region of the college."
