The sno-cone, like most delightfully different Americana, officially originated at a state fair — specifically, the 1919 Texas State Fair — where a vendor named Samuel Bert, a Dallas resident, a.k.a. King Sammie, introduced his creation of flavored crushed ice.

Celebrate this 103-year-old treat by getting a free sno-cone on the way to or from class! Note: In case of rain, the Sno-cone Pop-up will be in the Student Union.
