PSC Big Band Jazz Concert

The WVU Potomac State College & Community Jazz Ensemble is presenting a free big band jazz concert on Tuesday, April 25, at 7:30 p.m., at the Church-McKee Arts Center. The band will perform a variety of big band jazz styles featuring arrangements by Lennie Neihaus, Eric Richards, Gordon Goodwin, Mike Tomaro, and an Ellington tribute by John Berry. Featured will be many of the band’s outstanding soloists as well as vocalist, Beau (Hartman) Maxey.

The Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Fred Kesner, rehearses weekly at the college and is comprised of the following area jazz musicians.

• Saxophone section: Richard Frush, Roger Henry, Brent Weber, Chris Kellermeyer, and Mike Pfaff
• Trumpet section: Aaron Nesselroade, Jon Bush, Jay Moon, and John Leonard
• Trombone section: Will Nose, Lynn Zeller, Rick Milne, Dan Moreland, and Herb Lambert
• Rhythm section: Tom Harrison (piano), Jim Roderick (bass), and Bart Lay (drums)

The concert is free to the PSC campus community and the public.
