The West Virginia University School of Public Health Master of Health Administration program and West Virginia Chapter of American College of Healthcare Executives will host “The State of Healthcare: Industry Leaders' Perspectives” on Monday, May 11, bringing together top healthcare executives from across West Virginia for an insightful discussion on the future of healthcare and the challenges and opportunities shaping the industry.


Designed for healthcare professionals, students, administrators and anyone interested in learning more about the future of healthcare and building connections within the industry, attendees will gain valuable insights while connecting with peers and industry professionals.


The in-person event, held in the Fukushima Auditorium in the WVU Health Sciences Center, will feature an engaging panel discussion with prominent healthcare leaders Jeff Sandene, executive vice president and chief financial officer and incoming president and CEO, Vandalia Health; Michael Grace, president and CEO, WVU Hospitals, and senior vice president and chief operating officer, WVU Health System; Scott Raynes, president and CEO, Marshall Health Network. Moderated by Sarah Woodrum, dean for the WVU School of Public Health, the panelists will share fresh perspectives on industry trends, workforce needs, innovation and the evolving healthcare landscape.


The evening begins with networking and hors d’oeuvres at 5:30 p.m., followed by the panel discussion at 6 p.m.

As an independent chartered chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the West Virginia ACHE Chapter, is authorized to award a total of 1.5 hours of In-Person ACHE Qualifying Education credits toward advancement or recertification in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Participants in this program who wish to have it considered for ACHE Qualifying Education credit should list their attendance when they apply to the American College of Healthcare Executives for advancement or recertification.
