This performance is part of the Violins of Hope programming.

An afternoon of chamber music performed by WVU faculty and students playing Violins of Hope instruments featuring works by Mendelssohn, Schulhoff, and Prokofiev, plus a performance of Ellwood Derr's I Never Saw Another Butterfly for saxophone, piano, and soprano.

The WVU College of Creative Arts and Media is bringing the Violins of Hope to West Virginia. More than 20 violins will be on display at the Nutting Gallery at the WVU Erickson Alumni Center October 1-14, 2024. WVU students, faculty and guest artists will perform on the violins, and students in schools throughout the region will learn the stories of these instruments.
