Experience the rugged beauty of Mower Basin on an immersive weekend journey. Depart Morgantown in the morning and arrive at the Mower Tract Trailhead by midday. Lunch at the dispersed campsites sets the stage for an afternoon of exploration and learning.

Engage in a comprehensive tour of the Mower Tract, led by knowledgeable guides who highlight its rich history and ongoing restoration efforts. Trek the Hawks Ridge Trail Loop, soaking in panoramic views and preparing for a cozy evening at the campsite.

As the sun sets over Hawks Ridge, gather around the campfire for a hearty dinner and stories under the stars, creating lasting memories in this pristine wilderness.

Sunday:

Wake up to the tranquil sunrise over Hawks Ridge or opt for a leisurely morning at camp. After breakfast, gear up for a collaborative service project with the Forest Service team. Dive into trail maintenance and cleanup tasks, ensuring the preservation of this natural gem.

Lunch amidst the beauty of Mower Basin fuels the afternoon's efforts, culminating in a thorough cleanup and equipment wrap-up. Departure preparations follow, with a stop in Elkins for a local meal to cap off your rewarding journey through Mower Basin's rugged landscapes.
