Staying at WVU's Morgantown Campus this Thanksgiving?

Then try planting native trees and removing invasive plants at Falling Run.

  • It's physical work, but good exercise
  • And it's much appreciated by Falling Run users and the native wildlife
  • Plus, it's a great way get a break for awhile

Volunteers will be participating in our 3-hour service-learning programs that run 12pm to 3pm between November 24 and 30.

When you sign up for one of our Thanksgiving Days program at Falling Run, you’ll get a request for our optional survey on the day you selected. The survey has two parts: pre-program (10 minutes) where it’s done before volunteer work starts; and post-program (10 minutes) where it’s done after volunteer work ends. Volunteers need to complete both at Falling Run during their 3-hour program.

Students 18 years of age or older can assist in our research project about participating in short-term service-learning volunteering in outdoor environmental stewardship programs at WVU Falling Run.

Free snacks and drinks. Bring a friend if you can.

Volunteer activities are ongoing and open to all. But there's a limit on the number of participants we can accommodate each workday.

Interested volunteers can register here, and email Rich Wolff (rjw0009@mix.wvu.edu) with any questions.
